Mac and PC speak 2 very different languages. Our software is written for the PC. If your mac can
run windows programs then the software will work on your mac.

How do I renumber my guests?

Guests are numbered consecutively as they are input. The guest number has no effect on totals or
guest counts. They are for identification purposes only.

You can renumber your guests in alphabetical order click on misc > renumber guests.

Can I send my data to Word or Excel?

Yes, you can export your data to Word or Excel. Click on MISC > EXPORT DATA. There are several
export options. CSV (which will be opened in Excel), TXT (which is a text file openable in any word
processor) or MS WORD.

How do i print labels?

You have 2 options to print labels in B'nai Mitzvah. You can print Avery Labels in MS Word or you
can print directly from our software.

Printing avery labels in ms word only works in windows XP and ms word 2002 or higher.

You can print from within our software:

• click on reports > labels
• select the label report
• on setting up envelopes and labels, click insert
• tell the software the dimensions to print on
• click save
• click select
• select your font

• click on reports > envelopes
• select the envelope report
• on setting up envelopes and labels, click insert

How do I setup a party for my 2nd child?

You can easily copy your names and addresses to another party. Run the feature "New Party
Setup". Click on FILE > NEW PARTY SETUP. The new party setup wizard will step you through
the process.

How do I backup my data?

Backing up your data in B'nai Mitzvah is a snap. Click on FILE > BACKUP RESTORE.

You have a few backup options. You can backup to any drive or you can use our online backup
utility (this requires a separate license).

I have a family with 2 last names, how do I enter it?

Enter names and addresses the way you want them to appear on an envelope.

Here is an example of entering data for mr and mrs jones and family:

• title mr and mrs
• last name jones
• first name john
• guest family
• address 123 main st
• address2
• city anytown
• state us
• zip 11021

mr john jones and ms sally smith and family:

• title mr
• last name jones
• first name john
• guest ms sally smith
• address and family
• address 2 123 main st
• city anytown
• state us
• zip 11021

If there is not enough room in the GUEST field, use the first line of the address field.

You can click on the ENVELOPES/LABELS tab to see how the name and address will look.

Use the EACH MEMBER OF THIS FAMILY box to enter EACH INDIVIDUAL member of a family.

What fonts are in the software?

Our software doesn't ship with any fonts. We read the fonts that are installed on your computer.
You can purchase fonts and install them on your computer and B'nai Mitzvah will read those fonts
when you print envelopes, mailing labels and table place cards.

What is guest verified?

Guest verified is for you to check that you input everything correctly from your hand written notes.

To verify:
• Open the guest list
• Click on a guest
• Click the guest verified button
• A check mark will appear next to that guest
• To unverify, check the guest verified button again
